Benjamin Kassinen (FI)

Finnish artist Benjamin Kassinen (b. 1987) explores the human condition thru the medium of painting. Combining figurative and abstract subject matter he aims to capture the attention of the viewer. Kassinen honers traditional painting technics and simultaneously explores new possibilities of the craft. People and nature are often the center of he’s work. The realistically depicted people and nature in he's painting are often mixed with elements of the subconscious.

Kassinen has graduated with a master’s degree of arts form the University of the Arts in Helsinki. He also has a visual artist degree from the Free art school in Helsinki.

He’s work has been shown in galleries in Finland, Sweden and Norway. Kassinen has been awarded by the Anita Snellman foundation and the Hélène & Walter Grönqvist foundation. He's works are included in several collections: e.g. The Finnish State Art Commission, Finnish National Gallery, Haaga-Helia, Sokos Hotel Torni, Finnish art society and various private collections.
