Ojala
Konsta Ojala is a Helsinki-based artist whose multifaceted practice spans graphic design, painting, and printmaking. His artistic journey began in 2005 when he founded his first gallery in Stockholm, marking the beginning of his commitment to the contemporary art world. In 2011, Ojala co-founded SIC Gallery in Helsinki, solidifying his presence in the city's vibrant art scene. Most recently, in 2021, he co-founded Paja Gallery with Jan Konsin, continuing his dedication to creating dynamic spaces for artistic expression and fostering community engagement in the arts.
Ojala’s background in graphic design from Aalto University and Lahti Institute of Design, alongside his studies in painting at Vilnius Academy of Arts, informs his versatile artistic practice. As the editor and publisher of Adios art books and Adults Graffiti Magazine, Ojala has also contributed significantly to the world of art publishing, celebrating both underground and experimental cultures.
His works are included in the collections of Kiasma Contemporary Art Museum and HAM Helsinki Art Museum, marking his significant contribution to Finnish contemporary art. Throughout his career, Ojala continues to evolve as an artist, pushing boundaries and enriching the art world with his innovative approach to both creation and curation.
