Linda Linko is a visual artist based in Helsinki, primarily focusing on painting and drawing.

 

Her work explores color, movement, and the tensions between elements. She is particularly intrigued by certain types of "non-forms" and semiotic associations—essentially, the unknown. Her work strives to break free from the constraints of verbalization and communication, leaving room for the viewer's own interpretation.

 

A graduate of Helsinki University of Art and Design, Linko's artwork reflects influences from typography principles and a deep admiration for 1960s Polish poster design. Additionally, her interest in Fauvist painting is evident, channeled through a more figurative approach.

 

Linko has exhibited her work both in Finland and abroad, including a solo show at Lokal Gallery in Helsinki (2024) and a group exhibition at Saatchi Gallery in London (2022). She is also renowned for her cultural posters, having won several prizes, f.ex. first prize at the European Design Awards back in 2014
