In her paintings, Piia Kokkarinen (b. 1985) approaches space through movement and emotions. The paintings move towards space, pass it, and leave it behind. Rhythm, ripples, and swirls frolic in the paintings. Kokkarinen is looking for ways to embody a world where nothing stays still, but where form is constantly on its way into another form.
