I paint without much interest in dealing with image. Surfaces and physicality of the materials I use, are in the center of my practice at the moment. I want paintings to be as simple as possible and almost show the viewer how they are made.

Jalonen studies painting at Turku Arts Academy and graduates in spring 2025 (BA). Jalonen has held three solo exhibitons, the most recent one was in Helsinki at Asbestos Art Space in January 2024. He has also participated in several group exhibitions, for example Turku Kunsthalle (2021, 2022).
