Part of my ongoing series of self-portraits. Every year I try to make at least 1 or 2 just to see where my head is at. This time (early in the beginning of 2024) I visioned myself swallowed by nature and being part of it. During this time I had used less colour in my works preparing for an exhibition with a more toned down palette, and it had built up some sort of need to place myself in a colourful space - in a way this painting represented a return to colour which is where I feel at home.
