Anna-Stiina Korhonen
Anna-Stiina Korhonen is a painter working in Helsinki. She has an extensive history of solo and group exhibitions. Her previous solo exhibition “Forbidden Outrageous Red” was in December 2023 in the HAA Gallery Helsinki Artists’ Association. She is currently preparing for her next solo exhibition “The cat is missing”, which will open in October at the Paja Gallery of the screenprinting studio Kalasataman Seripaja in Helsinki.
Anna-Stiina Korhonen graduated as a painter in the spring of 2021 from the Free Art School Helsinki.
Korhonen is currently completing his master’s studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Helsinki, Finland
She is a graphic designer and illustrator by previous profession. She has worked in several advertising and design agencies and as a freelancer.
Anna-Stiina Korhonen’s works are in several private collections. The Finnish Art Association has bought Korhonen’s works for the annual art lottery. Her works have been published, among others, in the Finnish interior magazines Asun and Deco and in the 10-year history book of the Finnish skateboard brand “Tikari”.
Korhonen’s primary medium is oil paint, but she sometimes also works with inks, watercolors and other mediums.
Grants have been awarded to Korhonen by Grafia ry (Association of Visual Communication Designers
in Finland), Taike (The Arts Promotion Center Finland), Frame Contemporary Finland and The University of the Arts’ support foundation.
