In Greek mythology, Thanatos is the personification of death. In the work, a self-portrait character makes peace with death: they play Yatzy on a picnic blanket and enjoy drinks.
The work was exhibited in my solo exhibition "Sanitarium Holiday" in the Tm-gallery of the Association of Finnish Painters in 2022.
