Maaria Jokimies (b. 1992) is a visual artist living in Helsinki. In her colourful oil and watercolour paintings Jokimies portrays her own surroundings and people from her close circle. Through painting what she sees, Jokimies aims to express the relationship with her own body and others, contemplating on the roles of the watcher and the watched.

Jokimies graduated from Uniarts Helsinki's Academy of Fine Arts in 2022. Her works have been exhibited in several places in Finland, such as Mältinranta Art Center, Art Center Purnu, Gallery Huuto and the art museums of Lahti, Imatra and Lapua.
