The artist has fascinating memories of visiting the old home of her great-great-aunt and uncle, which had been empty since the 70s. The dusty and dark rooms of the small house were almost empty, but the walls had haunting yet sympathetic traces of the daily life of the cottage's old residents.
The painting belongs to a series of four small works. It was exhibited in HAA Gallery in December 2023 and January 2024.
Watercolour, acrylic and oil pastel on coloured paper, the artwork is not framed.
