In my works, overlapping truths, dystopias, and paradises often intertwine. ’A wise direction or abandoned plan’ drifts between certainty and doubt, between searching and losing one’s way.
Yellow might evoke the gentle warmth of the sun or the searing heat of scorching sand. In the watercolor painting on canvas, the materials and colors take on a life of their own, flowing with the movement of water. The process is not entirely within my control. Each piece emerges through the interplay of gestures, thoughts, and the behavior of the materials. Work was in display at Kuvan Kevät exhibition 2023.
