In this work, I was exploring the object-like nature of my three-dimensional paintings. Adding the sculptural element of rope, pulls the painting immediately to another realm, closer to a relief, then a painting. As a theme, I was also inspired by the visual and audiovisual landscape of the 80's movie 'Paris, Texas'.
